Fall Collective

I honestly haven’t been in the studio as much as I hoped this semester, but I’ve been gradually working on a techno-ish beat using the Juno-G and DP. I’m also hoping to record a few of my friends’ self-composed songs sometime soon, in a similar style to what I did last year. Also, I got Pro Tools Academic for my birthday a few weeks ago, and while I haven’t been able to get it up and running on my latop yet, I’m excited to learn and use that, and would be interested in installing it on the studio computers assuming I have more than one installation possible.

annabelle-2.mp3annabelle-2.mp3For my piece I went in several different directions this semester.  I would have something I liked when I started and would ditch it and start something new.  Right now I have put together a rock piece with a drum sample I found online.  I had a basic chord progression and messed around with different keyboard sounds and effects.  I have also been recording a lot of acoustic demos myself this semester one of which I have added on this page called Annabelle.  This was the first semester I did most of the recording at my house which has helped me to better understand the equipment and recording process.
